In plugins and API integrations

Glossaries are supported in Trados Studio, memoQ and Phrase plugins, Outlook add-in and API integrations.

  • Default glossaries are automatically applied to translations without requiring additional setup.
  • For project-specific glossaries, select the desired glossary when creating Access keys.
  • Both types of glossaries can be used together.
Translation suggestions in CAT tools

The translation suggestions are updated once you add a new term. To view the new suggestion you must click on a different segment and then back into the one you were translating.

Updating existing translations after adding new terms

In CAT tools (Trados Studio, memoQ, Phrase TMS)

To retranslate content after adding new terms, you have two options:

  1. Create a new project: Re-upload your document and initiate a fresh pre-translation.
  2. Edit existing project: Clear segments containing outdated terms and re-translate them.

In Outlook

Close add-in sidebar and reopen it again to re-translate. The new translations will contain the newly added terms.

In API integrations

Re-translate the content to use the updated terms. If you're caching or storing translations in your application, clear the cache or stored data before re-translating.
